This Hong Kong residence was envisioned as a private resort home for a family, immersed in lush greenery. The architectural concept is defined by three distinct building blocks, each carefully twisted at an angle to capture the best views while creating pocket gardens between volumes.
Design Concept & Approach
The living, dining, and kitchen areas open to nature with three-sided full-height glazing, dissolving boundaries between indoor and outdoor life. At the heart, a grand staircase and elevator form a double-volume foyer, enhancing spatial drama and vertical connectivity.
On the upper floor, a relaxing open den with skylight links to the foyer volume, flooding the interiors with daylight. All en-suite bedrooms and the master suite are designed with hotel-style comfort and quiet luxury aesthetics.
Material Palette & Atmosphere
The interiors reflect the client’s love of natural textures, curated with a timeless, stylish palette:
- Natural wood
- Raw stone with natural cuts
- Rustic metal with patina
- Textured paint for depth
This blend of natural finishes creates a calm yet refined interior, rooted in timeless elegance.
Rooftop & Landscape Design
The rooftop is divided into three zones:
- A natural green roof with seating
- An entertainment and gathering area
- A functional storage zone
Within the landscape, a Zen garden and herbal garden provide contemplative and practical outdoor experiences, harmonizing lifestyle with nature.
