The general concept for the podium facade design was to create multiple perforated layers with different opacity and reflection.
This idea came out from during 50-80s that the existing site was Fan Ling Theatre and people who could not get to see the movie will try to peek from the surrounding buildings to watch the movies. Thus, a very interesting idea is developed for the podium facade and also ties back to the history of the site.
